What is now Munson Inc., first started as Milwaukee Fence & Supply Corp. by James B. Munson in 1955. The sale of all types of fence, guard rail and security partitions was the main business function.
In 1963 the time was right to diversify. Asphalt paving work, which included grading, asphalt paving, asphalt sealing, tennis court construction, and many other asphalt related services to industrial, commercial and residential customers, was formed as Munson-Armstrong Paving Co. 
In 1968 the company name was changed to the affiliated corporations of Munson Fence Inc. and Munson-Armstrong Paving Inc. On July 1, 1975, Munson Fence Inc. and Munson-Armstrong Paving Inc. were merged into Munson Inc. with two divisions, Munson Fence Div. and Munson-Armstrong Paving Div.
In 1983 Mr. Munson sold the operating assets and name of Munson Inc. to key employees.
MUNSON FENCE DIV. is a full service fence company with the ability to furnish its own in-house labor, on-hand inventory for repairs, and a fabricating department for fencing needs. Since 1955 jobs have included work for federal, state, local municipalities, county, industrial, commercial and residential clients.
In 1989 decorative ornamental fencing was added to our product line, and in 1992 polyvinyl PVC plastic fencing for corral and residential installations was made available to our customers.

The Paving Division began installing StreetPrint in 1993.
**Duratherm is an inlaid thermoplastic pavement marking system ideal for crosswalks.
In 1999, Munson Armstrong Paving Div. added a Concrete Department. Concrete work ranges from sidewalks to award winning recreational centers. Other services include:

Asphalt sealing and maintenance of asphalt surfaces has become a larger part of our business. As in fence, work is done for federal, state, local municipalities, county, industrial, commercial and residential clients.
In March 1995, Munson Inc. constructed and moved to a new location at 6747 N. Sidney Place in Glendale, WI. This larger facility enables us to expand our functions for fence and paving even further.
